Our 2019-2020 Scholarship recipient Denisse Garcia shared her story of her hero co-workers at the Anaheim Kaiser.

Although Labor & Delivery and Postpartum nurses are not in the front lines of COVID-19, many are still going to work each day to help mothers deliver their newborn babies. For the most part our moms and babies are young and healthy. But since we know younger adults are carriers of the virus, staff continues to take their precautions. On a regular day our Postpartum unit cares for up to 30 mothers and their babies at a time! Our Postpartum nurses are giving snacks and water to their DOU nursing sisters who are in the front-lines taking care of COVID-19 patients.
