Together with her husband and three kids, she immigrated to this country in 2004 with the aspiration of providing a better future for the family. She and her family reside in Redlands. For almost six years now, she has been working at a Medical Unit in Loma Linda University Medical Center (LLUMC), as a staff RN for the first two years, as a relief Team Leader for the next two years and as a full time Charge RN for almost two years now. She has been involved in a major undertaking of LLUMC by being a member of the hospital’s Innovating Excellence Team. In the coming months she will join other selected Charge RN’s in a hospital-wide project called Team STEPPS, developed by the Department of Defense in collaboration with the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ). It is an evidence-based teamwork system to improve communication and teamwork skills among health care professionals to optimize patient outcomes.

Believing that she will be able to make a difference in the lives of patients in the primary care setting, she decided to advance her nursing career. Currently she is a senior student of the Family Nurse Practitioner Program at Loma Linda University. She has recently been inducted as a member of the Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing.
